MASSBAY STUDENT CENTER, Computer Lab, and Library study

MassBay Community College has three campuses; the Wellesley campus is the main general education campus, the Framingham Campus is for Health Science, and the Wayland Campus is for automotive degrees. The Wellesley campus has very few student spaces for studying, collaborating, or for spending time between classes. The original building was a parochial school and the main chapel was converted many years ago into a computer lab. This computer lab has 50 stationary computers and these will be replaced with laptops. This allows for flexibility of spaces and the opportunity to create a 5,000 sf student on the campus. The new student center includes a stair/amphitheater with study spaces above and below the stairs. New furniture will create different seating and studying arrangements and a new lift will connect the student center to an existing classroom.
