FLINT HALL RENOVATION UMASS AMHERST

STUDIO ENÉE is adapting and renovating the 28,000sf Flint Hall from a lab and classroom building into the College of Natural Sciences’ (CNS) Student Success Center, a student hub which provides community and student support and advising services to the College’s 7,000 undergraduates. The programming and space planning phase evaluated synergies between the Associate Dean’s office, advising, student success, career development, and premed/prehealth. The program includes student and staff spaces, offices, student lounges, and classrooms. It also includes student studies, lounges, and University classrooms. First Year’s Advising and Student Success programs are located on Level 1 near the entry to meet the College’s goals and mission. The renovation to the original 1912 historic building has been approved by Mass Historic.
