IBA Groundbreaking
Our team was proud to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for IBA Boston this week. This new Community Arts Center (known as La CASA) in Boston’s South End will house IBA’s bilingual youth development, financial empowerment, resident services, and arts programs, which are offered to IBA residents and South End community members. La CASA will serve as the hub for Latinx arts and activism in New England.
The design collaboration led by Latinx and women architects, reflects a deep respect for IBA's mission and vision: one of empowering individuals and families to improve their lives and achieve socio-economic mobility through high-quality affordable housing, education, financial and resident empowerment and arts programs. The sustainable, modern design respects the historic context and includes a terra cotta and glass rainscreen facade with a roof deck overlooking O’Day Park.
