STUDIO ENEE’S renovation of the Mattahunt Community Center is currently in design development. The renovated building will include a new lobby, gymnasium, multi-purpose room, and teen spaces.
Natasha Espada, AIA was a presenter with Amy Slattery, AIA and Christine Scharrer, AIA at the 2019 AIA Women’s Leadership in Minneapolis, MN. The seminar titled “Starting your own Firm” provided insight as to how to start, build, and grow your own firm.
This week, Natasha Espada, AIA presented at the AIA New England Board Meeting on the topic of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) representing the Boston Society of Architects as the co- chair of the BSA’s EDI+ H Task Force.
STUDIO ENÉE’s Natasha Espada, AIA is currently working with the Architect’s Foundation to fundraise for the Sho-Ping Chin Women’s Leadership grant, which affords an opportunity for mid-career women architects to attend the 2019 AIA Women’s Leadership Summit. The memorial fund established in her name is focused on funding the development of future women leaders in architecture: THREE past recipients of the grant are now presidents of their local chapters. As shown in the image below, our work at Tufts’ Barnum Hall is wrapping up! Tufts employees have already begun to enjoy the modernizations: four floors were converted from a biology lab program into new administrative, classroom and social spaces. Pictured is a new front entry lobby that will welcome students and staff once fall semester starts. The building holds the Arts Department, Office for the Environment, Tisch College for Civic Life and Film and Media Studies. We look forward to sharing finished photos soon.

As President-Elect of the Boston Society of Architects, Natasha Espada, was part of their delegation at the AIA Grassroots Conference in Washington, DC. The delegation visited each MA legislator to advocate for architects and architecture excellence.
The new masonry building is prominently located at 527 Boston Avenue in Medford and will provide storage of vehicles for Tufts University’s Facilities Department.

STUDIO ENÉE and Sasaki have been selected to design the New MassBay Community College Health Science Building on the Framingham State Campus. The new $30M building will provide a new home for the Health Science programs and General Classroom space for MassBay Community College. STUDI ENÉE completed the programming study for this building in December 2017.
STUDIO ENÉE has been selected by the City of Boston for the Renovations of Mattahunt Community Center. The scope of work includes the renovation of the Lobby, Gym, Multi-purpose/performance space, and Teen Room.
Natasha Espada has been elected as 1st VP/President-Elect of the Boston Society of Architects(BSA). The BSA has 4,500 members and is the oldest and second largest Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. She will be the 2020 BSA President!
Susan Crowe Knight presented at the Women in STEM Panel hosted by the Boston Privacy Industry Council to help educate high school students about the field of Architecture.
Catherine Barsoum is a talented Architect and Designer and we are thrilled she is joining our team! She has over 12 years of experience designing buildings for public and private institutions and has previously worked at Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), Sasaki, and KPF. Catherine has an MArch from Harvard University’s GSD and an AB from Duke University.
Construction is completed at the 15,000sf renovation at the China Trade Building.
STUDIO ENÉE is donating their expertise on Resilient Community Centers to aid in the rebuilding of Puerto Rico.
The 54,000sf building renovation will include classrooms, meeting spaces, administrative and student affair offices, sustainability group areas, and Art and Film and Media Department studios.
Wood ceiling planks are being installed at sloped ceiling.
